Who We Are:

The Cold Spring Film Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization based in Cold Spring, NY dedicated to fostering good will, community fellowship and appreciation of the moving image arts by screening enjoyable films in local venues.

Our Cold Spring Summer Film Series seeks to provide an evening of safe, fun and free entertainment in the village's wonderfully unique outdoor spaces for people of all ages. Frequent Asked Questions
What time do the Summer Film Series movies start? We start our movies as soon as it's dark enough to see the picture clearly. This changes throughout the summer from around 9pm for our first film in June to around 7:30pm by our last film of the season in September.
Where do you screen the Summer Film Series movies? We screen our films outside in Dockside Park on the Hudson River, at the end of West Street in Cold Spring, NY.
Can we bring chairs? Yes, you can bring your own folding chairs to the screenings if you like. Chairs must be placed either on the side or in the rear, though, so that attendants on blankets can also watch the movie.
Can we bring our own food? Yes. We sell fresh popcorn, lemonade and candy at the event, but you are welcome to bring your own picnic and drinks. Please remember to remove your trash at the end of the film.

Can I bring my dog? Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed, cleaned up after properly, and their owner respects our other moviegoers' viewing experience.
Why do you ask for donations? It costs us thousands of dollars a year to pay for the licensing of our films, publicity, and other regular operating costs. We are a small, local non-profit run by members of the community and need your donations to help keep this free film series operating.
Are my donations tax-deductible? Yes! We are a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation and so your donation is fully tax-deductibe.
Where can I get your amazing tote bags and T-shirts? Our distinctively designed canvas bags and T-shirts are available for purchase at all our screenings!
